Mother’s Day is celebrated every year to give honor to mothers as well as respect her motherhood. It is celebrated at second Sunday in the month of May annually. Mothers are especially invited to come to their kid’s school to celebrate. Teachers start preparation for the mother’s day with lots of activities. Some students prepare rhyme in Hindi or English, essay writing, some lines of Hindi or English conversation, poem, speech, etc activities. At this day mothers go to the school of their kids and involve in the celebration.

My mother is the most spectacular mother. She volunteers at almost everything imaginable, from PTA events at school to cooking a homemade meal at church. Every Saturday morning she wakes up early to go to Costco to pick up breads and things that are still good but can’t be sold. She then takes these things to people who need something to eat. What is left she drives to homeless centers. My mom never takes credit for anything she does. My mom rarely treats herself to anything and I think that it’s her time to get the credit that she deserves.

My mom’s the best because she takes care of me in such a loving and kind way. She teaches me lots of new things and she is so funny. She always makes me happy whenever I look at her. She takes me to tons of places and shows me cool things.  I love to read with her and when it’s a cold day, we have hot cocoa, read and talk on the couch. She takes me to fun and interesting movies. She loves me and I love her. For all these reasons, she’s the best mom in the world.
